After the fun and creativity of "The Three", I really expected more from this.

My library stacked this as horror, it was definitely not as scary or thrilling as I expected. The first 150 pages or so were a bit boring in my opinion. I pictured this as a creepy version of Titanic, but it wasn't. It was a lot of backstory, uninteresting conversations and people complaining. The last 70 pages or so were very interesting, but basically a whole other book/new story.

This is supposed to be the 'sequel' to The Three but it can be read on its own. Could not put it down. It's one of those books that days later is still with me.

On the one hand it really fucked me up, mostly because I'm already terrified of the ocean and I basically hate ships and I feel like that lent a lot to my "enjoyment" of the story (if you could call it that).

However, I found it incredibly hard to keep track of the multiple view points and characters, there were just way too many to keep up with and it became increasingly more difficult to like any of them because there were so many.

Plus, the story itself never really wrapped up. The ending was a complete mess and felt more like the author just tried to shove as many different "disasters" into the story as possible.

It was definitely the cruise ship from hell, but it was also the story from hell and made quite possibly no sense whatsoever.

A really disappointing book, that kept you on edge until the last second whereby you've read the rest so you may as well finish the last few pages...

Book about a cruise ship stranded in the Gulf of Mexico just before my cruise in the Gulf of Mexico later this year and I didn't realize it was a second book in a series, but it was a good read any way. It did end a bit abruptly and nothing was really resolved but I enjoyed the creepy read. Put the first book on reserve, maybe it will give me a better understanding why this one ended the way it did.

Never had the desire to go on a cruise before and definitely never want to now. The claustrophobia, noro virus, no air conditioning, flooded sewage, and violent passengers were terrifying enough without the supernatural element.
