Of the three books out so far, this is probably my least favorite. That’s probably because I loved the chemistry and interactions between the core group in the first two novels and that was missing since the majority of this book was them separated. That’s not to say it’s not a great continuation of the story, just that I can’t wait for the next one so we get the fam back together again.
I read up until chapter 13 and skipped until chapter 26. Not interested.
Definitely a lot faster paced than the first 2 thank goodness. Better

It moved faster and had more plot/action. I still ff through the sex because it serves no purpose. I'm not sure I want to read more. Most of the story seems to have been resolved.

I hate hate hate the main characters being separated for more than half the book. So half a star lost for that.
I still adore this series!
Finely is giving Aelin a run for her money as my favorite book heroine! I relate to her so much.
I really enjoyed having Hadriels POV. He’s just such a lovable character. I mean the maid outfit.

This series is such a delight. I knew that there would be ugliness with the way the last book ended. However, the was Nyfain helps with the torture was unexpected.
I loved watching Finley build her own army in a dungeon. When Hadriel and Lele sauntered into that hellhole I wanted to cheer. I need a Hadriel in my life. He is the absolute best.
The new characters were great. I love that one calls her strange lady and is clearly a bit crazy.
I did figure out one surprise but the book is so good, I don’t care. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
