A good book.

I liked this quote:

“Roses don’t wilt, sire.” I sucked in a breath and grabbed the door to keep it from closing in my face after he went through. “I mean, the bush doesn’t. The flowers do, but those are just bee food. The actual plant gets brittle and shitty looking, but it holds up. It weathers the storm. And then, when you least expect it, those fuckers get three drops of water and come back to life and grow wild again.”

While I am still loving this series, I definitely liked this book the least of all of them. The amount of time Finley and Nyfain were apart from each other was excessive. It felt like the time spent in the demon kingdom dragged on… Which was probably because it was roughly 6 hours of listening to that. I do think it could have been cut dramatically and probably been a three book series. That said, I still loved all the characters. Hadriel is hilarious. Finley is a bad ass. Nyfain can get it.

wow

This series just keeps getting better and better! I absolutely can not wait until the next, and final, book in this series!

Amazing!!!

I don't know how she does it, but this book was so much better than the other two!! The twists and turns really grab you and suck you into the story. There is so much I want to talk about in this review, but I can't because that would be revealing too much.
Though I do kind of wish I'd waited to start this series until it was complete because the cliffhanger is killer! I can NOT wait for A Queen Of Ruin to be released!!

Great Continuation of a Deliciously Dark Fairytale

I’ve loved this series from the first chapter of ‘A Ruin of Roses’. Which rich characters and landscapes this series is a truly decadent adult fantasy series and the third book in the series expands on that by introducing a host of new characters and exploring new lands to further enrich the world building and storytelling. While ‘A Kingdom of Ruin’ was not my favourite book in the series, I still throughly enjoyed the continued storyline and am now very excited for the next book in the series.

My least favourite of this (admittedly poorly written) series because it makes no sense.
SPOILERS

Hear me out, the curse broke when the MC's imprinted right? So why did she go to the castle and even make the deal with the villian in the first place? They had no idea that the dragons were captive so it wasn't to rescue them, even if that was a perk.

If all it took was the imprinting to break the curse, why didn't they do it in the first place. Their dragons wanted to and despite N being a broody bastard, so did the humans. Seriously, I felt like that whole deal was had just because the author wanted to do the pain is pleasure thing.

But, my mistake, smut clearly doesn't need a plot that makes sense.

The end was stupid too.

Points because I still want to finish the series because they're such quick reads.
