I love a good brothers best friend/second chance romance and Adriana Locke absolutely nailed it with Machlan and Hadley. They have been in love with each other for years and yet, they push each other’s buttons to the point of pure frustration. Hadley desperately needs to move on with her life and Machlan needs to let her go for good. But it’s just not that easy when your heart and soul has found what it craves.

Machlan and Hadley’s story was one of love, forgiveness, letting go of the past and making the best of the future. With a storyline that I had never expected, their journey was one that broke my heart and yet overwhelmed me with with a love like no other. The struggles that they both faced, together and on their own, kept me captivated until the very end. With the addition of the rest of the Gibson boys and Hadley’s brother, Cross in the story, Crave became a true testament to the importance of family.

Adriana Locke poured her heart and soul into this story and you can tell. Crave takes you on the emotional rollercoaster ride of a lifetime and I loved every single moment.

I love Machlan and Hadley. I say this every time I read a new Adriana book but they might be my new favorite couple. I cried so much in this book, thank god for Peck and Lincoln, of course he made an appearance, This book is beautifully written. They way Adriana writes makes you feel like you are there and living in their world and going through their struggles and triumphs. Amazing book!

These two quotes sum up their love.

“I love you more, Hadley. Not more than you love me, but more than all our fights and disagreements. I love you more than the bad days and the bullshit we’ll have to go through in life. Because if I have to go through it, I don’t want to do it without you.”

“things like this, like what’s sitting around this table, don’t happen overnight. You can’t force them to happen. You can’t make them not happen. You just have to water them with love and give them room to breathe and enough support to anchor the roots into the foundation of something good.

🖋️ SNEAK PEEK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars REVIEW 🖋️
This Gibson Boys series continues to tug on my heart. Machlan Gibson and Hadley Jacob's story is a second chance romance that has a history that will break you and even have you in tears. To overcome something and learn to see things in a new perspective in their story was indeed a complicated one.

I had no idea how much Machlan would get to me. What do you do when the one that has always have your heart is the one that you may not be enough for. One must fight, take risks, and hope.

Stealing me away from another Gibson Boy...

I’ve been a hardcore Walker fan since reading his story. This story between Hadley and Machlan has me on the fence with my devotion because it was that damn good. Their relationship is the epitome of second chance. The love, the loss, ups and downs, sacrifices and triumphs make this story the most relatable and endearing tale. I love their love and passion for one another. It’s a tough situation to be in when you want something so much only to understand at that point it bad for you. Making your way back to what made you happy in the first place and knowing you’ve grown makes for a great romance. So happy to have finally gotten into Machlan’s head.

Can’t wait for Peck’s journey and hopefully the demise of Molly McCarter. I’m campaigning with my girl TB on this lol.

Congrats on your release Adriana! I know it is slated to do big things, but I wish you success on it nonetheless.

I don't know that I have a bunch of words for this book, but I'll try. I loved Machlan and Hadley's second chance romance. It was more emotional than I was expecting. There's something that tore these two apart that surprised me (I was expecting something else) and hit me in the heart. I was a little sad at times reading this one, but the way these two characters worked out their issues made that temporary sadness worth it. This is my new favorite in the series.

I absolutely loved it. I’ve been slow to catch up on this book, but ohhh how good it was to be back with the Gibson boys, Nana, the ladies, PECK and the Landry’s again.

Looking for a heartfelt story, genuine, lots of banter and funny too? Read this. Hell, read all of Adriana Locke’s books! I know I have, except for Tumble, which I’m gonna dive into right away!

The writing was flawless as always but I don’t think they were right for each other. While i’ve liked Machlan as a secondary character i didn’t like him here. Too hot and cold and he pissed me off.

Had was a doormat , i get that she wanted him to change and wanted closure eventually but have some self respect 😅

descriptionI’m bound to this woman by scars etched on both our hearts; scars we share with only each other.

I can always count on Adriana Locke to deliver a romance that is raw and real — to the point where I end up banging my head on the wall in frustration when they can't see what is right in front of them but I think that is the beauty of her books, what drew me to her books in the beginning and continue to do so.

I love Adriana's characters. Downright ADORE every single one of them, so I can say this absolute resolve that I've never, ever, wanted to hit two Locke character's so much.

Machlan Gibson and Hadley Jacobs needed to be hit on their heads. With a chair, preferably. *shakes head*

Okay, now that that's out of the way.

descriptionLove was never our problem. It’s still present, still rumbling between us even now, even after all the shit we’ve been through. We may not have been able to get on the same page or work out our problems, but there’s a relief that the love, in whatever form, is there.

Locke gives us a second chance small-town romance which is full of angst in Crave
Machlan met Hadley when he was 15 and she was 13 and it was a connection from the start. They grew up together and were each other's first love and safe place, one they could talk to about anything and everything.

Since that day, there had been many ups and downs faced by the two of them that made a chink in their armour one incident at a time. Their love, at the time, wasn't strong enough.

There was something that Grandma Gibson said that resonated with what Machlan and Hadley had experienced and faced as a couple. She said (and I am paraphrasing this) that sometimes when you are in a relationship with the right person, it just isn't the right time. Sometimes the two people need to step back and grow and learn and experience things as individuals and if it meant to be you will come back together. Your roots will be stronger and come what you will withstand any situation that is thrown your way.

Mach and Had fell in love when they were broken and dealing with their insecurities. Things happened, life happened and they didn't survive it.

They were never able to work out through their problems, through their insecurities but love was always present between them and what brought Hadley back to the small time of Linton.

descriptionWhen I look at you, I don’t just see the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen . I see the next sixty years of my life.

There are tons of push and pull between the two of them. The frustration was so prominent between Hadley and Machlan... and me. LOL! I was waiting for Machlan to pull his head out of his ass but this boy is stubborn as a mule.

The emotions are running at an all-time high where these two are concerned. I loved seeing more Machlan and how his brain worked. It was nice to see things from the broody bartender's perspective

This is a book that I can and would recommend solely based on the raw intensity of the book. Tragedy, separation, loss, love, frustration and second-chances. This is as real as a romance can get for fiction.
