Changing my original rating from 3 stars to 2 stars because of Morgan's entire attitude in this novel. It's one thing to be stubborn. It's another to be a huge idiot who judges people and throws around accusations without stopping to think about what she's saying.
honestly this is the first book in the Sweep series to straight up bore me. I forgot how very dull Hunter is as a character most of the time.
(also TW for some homophobic attacks in this book, it’s not too too graphic or anything but just heads up.)

I used to be a lot more lenient with my ratings when I first started logging books on GoodReads, but after a decade of reading consistently and a lot, I've become more selective.
Looking at some of those early ratings, I no longer feel that they apply and while I probably won't go back and change every one, I will change the ones that I stumble upon with ones that I feel are deserved based on my memories and feelings about the books in the present.
This is one of those series that I remember really enjoying when I first read it, but thinking back on it now, I only have vague fond recollections of bits and pieces of it and certainly not enough for a 5 star rating.

Welcome to the book where nothing ever happens
Awakening is forgettable. It does not add anything to the overall plot, except some bits of drama and romance that were totally predictable. Morgan keeps whining all around, being dramatic and such. Hunter is all like "I kind of love her, I'm going crazy, she hates me, f*ck." And that's pretty much it, because the only "important" thing that happens (that wasn't really important) took place in the last 20 pages. The rest is yadda-yadda to fill the almost 200 pages the book has. So, if you skip this one, is not like you'll miss much.

This series is slowly but surely improving. It's really nice an to read if you want something quick and engaging.

This one had me fuming for Morgan even though we knew nothing good was coming. Haha, yeah I am in to this series.
