I was in need of a sports romance and this one made its way to me. I honestly loved this book. I loved the banter and I loved Jasper. I normally don’t love slow burn stories but this one was perfect. The only thing was I wish I had a little more of their love story. It felt like once we finally got them the book was ending. I’m so excited to continue the series (and hopefully see a little more of them in the other characters stories).

2.5-3 stars. It seems to be written in an odd past tense that just didn’t make sense. The copy I read has plenty of grammatical errors that should have been easily edited. Overall, the story line wasn’t too bad, but definitely not one I would pick up again or recommend to a friend.

I could’ve highlighted this whole book! Jasper ran into Wolfie and despite her attitude, he knew he had to have her. Pretty sure I also fell in love then too

Sweet baby Jesus what a slow burn that was.

This book is now up there with my favourite hockey romances - up there with Hannah Grace, Becka Mack and Elle Kennedy and Liz Tomford. Yes, you read me right. I read it in one day and did not get much work done , sorry boss, but hey it’s Friday

Omg I adore this book!!!

Sometimes I read a book and I'm just blown away by how connected I feel to it, the characters, even the author!

I felt soooo much emotion throughout this book!

I absolutely adore Jasper and I love everything he did to win over Wolfie ❤️❤️❤️

I loved every second of this and I'm excited to read the others in the series

3.5 rounded up. A quick and easy read. Light and fun and I am already looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Having already read the Tuesday series and The Third Baseman it is fun getting to read the original series that name drop throughout the others and finally understanding who they all are.

not an enemies to lovers but still so good!!!

Oh my word this book was so amazing!!

Jasper is running late to a team practice when he stops for a coffee, and runs into a English spitfire, spilling her coffee all over her. She immediately expresses her disinterest for him, and despite his offered, refuses help and runs off.
From that moment on Jasper is a man obsessed and I was here for it! He is able to track her down and relentlessly pursues her till she gives him a chance, but she certainly didn’t make it easy on him. She’s here in the states for work, and is only here for 6 months. Can he convince her to give him a chance before she has to go back?

I loved so much about this book! I loved that he had to work so hard for her attention! She did not give in to him easily. I loved that she was so grumpy with him!
Their banter and tension was so good.
I’m so excited for the rest of the series!!
