The Hollow Boy felt, in many ways, like a filler novel, or a collection of short stories. Unlike the first two Lockwood and Co. books, there was no big overarching case. There were several that felt as if they could have been, but they were quickly resolved. That being said, there are many good things that happen in this book as well. We are introduced to a very capable and interesting character in Holly (I'm personally still not sold on her; she seems too good to be true). Where this book truly shines is with its development of Lucy, both in her relationship with Lockwood and in her use of her Talent. All in all, though the overarching plot seemed thin, this was a pleasant read, and it has set the base for a very exciting next book.

Ahhhhh I hate jealousy plot lines so much and we get a lot of that in this book, but we made it through the Holly and Lucy part of it all. Otherwise loved all of this, the angst, the mystery, the thrilling near death moments.

I hated how they treated Holly.
It's getting harder and harder to read Lucy's POV. She soo obviously written by a man, it hurts.
