KU Books rating system used: I'm not bothering to log anything less than two stars. Two Stars = pretty interesting characters, plot carries the characters along well. Three Stars = interesting story, dynamic characters.

I really liked it to begin with. I love Geenie so much! It got boring about 75% the way through and I started skimming though.

this was actually soo so sweet and fluffy, my only caveat would be if you’re anxious and impatient like me, the stretched out torturous period where both MCs were mutually pining for the longest fucking time ever but for some reason were unable to express their feelings due to (mostly) stubbornness on their parts kinda got on my nerves after a while. in these cases, it’s sexier when the MCs actually communicate

3.75 stars 🌟 Noah Noah Noah.

I wanted more of this book. Bonus epilogue. More chapters. More of them. More. More. More.

Oh and I love Jenny and Shay too ❤️

“I let myself love her, and a significant portion of me died when I was faced with the reality that it was entirely one-sided.”

Oh my stars, In A Jam by Kate Canterbary is a stellar small-town romcom. Oof, that first chapter is one helluva way to start a book. Kate does Shay dirty at the start, but man does she give Shay an epic love story with an incredible man. Gennie stole my heart from her introduction, she constantly had me in stitches. Everyone needs a group of friends like Shay’s besties. Noah is at the top of my book boyfriend list. He is an incredible cinnamon roll hero; he’s the vulnerable, kindhearted hero whose love remained unrequited for years, yet he remained sweeter than honey. Don’t be fooled though, he can bring the heat with his deliciously filthy mouth…proving once again, it’s always the quiet ones. This slow-burn romance delivers the spice! I loved the way Noah and Shay both need a supportive, champion partner in different ways, they are beautifully balanced. I was constantly snort-laughing, swooning, or fanning myself throughout this book. Gennie’s bluntness and Shay’s antics made me cackle. In A Jam is a perfect blend of unrequited feelings, witty dialogue, dynamic characters, and a soul-deep love story.

Jason Clarke gives a heart-wrenchingly genuine performance as the broody, pining, cinnamon roll Noah. Jason is the king of pulling heartstrings with emotionally raw, touching, swoon-tastic heroes. His phenomenal narration of In A Jam is no exception and may be my new favorite book he has worked on. Kit Swann has narrated a few of my recent listens and she is quickly becoming a favorite voice for me! She brought Shay’s self-depricating, loving, zany, endearing character to life with a delightful performance. In A Jam is a flirty, hysterical, heart-melting romance that I will enjoy over and over. This audiobook is a must-listen!
