I enjoyed this. Especially Noah. It just felt like it took forever to finish.

he’s a lawyer AND a farmer…why not just create my dream man

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really, really love this book
I know what you’re thinking if you really loved it why only four stars and I’ll tell you why and it is because while I see that like he had to tell her in due time that he’s loved her since high school I just feel like I couldn’t fully understand Shays internal dialogue About her insecurities
Like what do you mean? I’m forcing him to do this and forcing him to do that like he’s the one that offered this that and the other thing and he did so so much for you without being asked and you just wilfully ignored all of them to listen to the ex that left you standing at the altar when he already knew the day before that he didn’t wanna go through with it like, I understand like someone hitting your insecurities and it resonating with you and staying with you but like at a certain point like you had to have known, his opinion was trash, you know what I mean. Like he was literally there to get the ring back from you that he felt pressured to give you, which is his problem not yours. You went into it knowing that you’re heading towards marriage and he stuck around that’s his fault not yours , in order to give the ring to the woman he cheated on you with like you had to have known that his opinion was worth literally nothing. Meanwhile, you have the world’s most perfect man for you and you’re just like disregarding everything he does for you that’s what bothered me .
This story had my favourite fictional child ever she was so fucking funny. I actually loved her like I understood all of her little insecurities and her little ADHD brain and she was so funny and so sweet and I really really loved Imogen. She was the best.
I also really loved Noah. I understand him not telling Shay that he loved her all that time but also maybe you should’ve said it a little sooner oh well.
Why this book lost to start. I just feel like there wasn’t enough communication even though all the actions were building a really solid foundation. There was no communication between them. They always felt like they weren’t on the same page even when they were on the same page do you know what I mean?
The spice in this book was way spicier than I anticipated it being it was really really well done. I didn’t fully understand why he was so shy about his proclivities. Well, I guess I understand why he was shy, but like I feel like the shyness went on for too long if that makes sense but again that would’ve been solved if they had just communicated and she had said I fucking like it you know what I mean like whatever.
I do think the blue gray and the little stars was such a cute little thing right at the end there that was fucking adorable
I don’t fully understand how she just like completely forgot everything that they went through in high school, but like I guess she did so whatever
Anyways, I really really enjoyed this and I do appreciate that there was almost a third break up, but there wasn’t an actual third break up so that’s good. I just wish the communication happened more frequently and I am now a fan of Canterbury because I really liked her writing.

loved this book; must read more of Kate’s books

Love to find a sister New Englander writing romance novels. I get tired of reading books about the south, no disrespect. I enjoy reading about areas that I have some knowledge of and it makes me home sick.

Anyway, this book was great. I am a sucker for a second chance romance… ALWAYS. Maybe I’m hoping for my own.

Kate’s books are filled with authentic characters, lots of feelings, a great leading man (who isn’t an alpha hole but sexy AF! I love that Noah felt awkward and nervous. Tired of shrinking violets in books and Shay is definitely not one, by any stretch of the imagination. But the chemistry between these two was great.

Honestly though, it is Gennie, that steals the show! OMG! I love her and I’d love for her to be my spirit animal. She’s wounded, sassy, and trying to figure out life with her uncle. Shay is wonderful with her, as is Uncle Noah. You see how much love she’s given and with help and understanding, she thrives. And romance blooms around her.

100% would refer this to a friend. Going to try to get my mom to read it.

You can’t go wrong with a Kate Canterbary book, time and time again. Now I’m off to listen to another of her books now.
