I can absolutely see why this book took over the book-social media sphere when it came out.  The small town setting was fantastic, both MCs were well-developed, and their chemistry was off the charts.

Tropes: Small Town, Single Parent, Marriage of Convenience, Childhood Friends to Lovers

I liked the beginning better. Then it just felt too long for her to realise he was really in love with her and I lost my interest to be honest. I would have been better if it had been shorter

….this dude pissed me off at the start bc the angst and side comments made no sense whatsoever and made me dislike him. slowly redeemed himself. but the marriage situation? alright. that’s all i’m saying.
emotional hopeful medium-paced

A really enjoyable read! I needed Noah to turn the dickishness down a notch occasionally (like, tell me to shut up (and not in a joking way) and I’m gonna fight), but otherwise I was very into it all.

At first I wasn't sure what to think but by the midpoint I was invested and loving it. What a gem of a story and so great to discover a new author - this book brings romance, he falls first, and great spice in one package. Would recommend!

Hello Daddy Bread Baker. This book was fantastic!! I immediately knew I was going to love it. Moving back to a small town. Friends to lovers. Marriage of Convenience. Throw in a foul mouthed 6 years old. It was so good!! Gennie kept me laughing. I really enjoyed every single thing about this story. How Noah helped Shay find herself. How he helped her heal. How the town welcomed her. We need more from this town!!
