There’s a lot to like or love about this book: small town charm, a cute farm and romanticized farmers markets, a possessive husband who uses the word “wife” a lot, a hilarious kid, and long term pining; and yet, I didn’t love this one. I don’t think I connected to or really liked the FMC so I wasn’t pulled in and it felt like a slog for me. The use of “wife” felt really excessive and I definitely skimmed parts, which ultimately makes me kinda sad cause all the bones were there of things I loved but there was just something stopping me from loving it.

I'm not normally a childhood-friends-to-lovers girlie, but this was such an original take! The characters were so relatable, and beyond the "inherited a flower farm" bit, it all felt so realistic and wonderful. My heart has been warmed.

Cute but really not my cup of tea. I don’t usually DNF but at 15% I just realized I had read this story at least 25 other times. I held on those times because the sugary syrup can be well balanced (eg. Ella Maise, some Colleen Hoover, Mia Sheridan etc). This is not one of those, think My Killer Vacation or the Slammed trilogy. If those were your jam, pun absolutely intended, then go for it but beware.
