Cute but really not my cup of tea. I don’t usually DNF but at 15% I just realized I had read this story at least 25 other times. I held on those times because the sugary syrup can be well balanced (eg. Ella Maise, some Colleen Hoover, Mia Sheridan etc). This is not one of those, think My Killer Vacation or the Slammed trilogy. If those were your jam, pun absolutely intended, then go for it but beware.
(old read) tuve que releer mis notas porque sólo recordaba el romance cute y me crucé con una cosa horrenda: pedofilia. en una parte dice "I felt like a child. An adorable, precious, depraved child" y mas atras hacen que una niña diga algo con connotación (demasiado obvia) sexual!! which is weird as fuck !! si ignoramos eso y cada parte nsfw, la historia es entretenida!
You know what I’m sure sick of? Biphobia and stereotyping! Of course, of all the characters the FMC was friends with, it’s her bisexual girl friend that’s commitment/relationship disinterested, highly promiscuous to the point that it’s a plot point that she gets a UTI from all the random sex she’s having, hanging out with swingers and being couples’ third. ‘Cause that’s what bisexual people do, right? We just want to fuck everyone all the time and we can’t be in relationships or get married or even be interested in marriage, right?
This is offensive shit and it’s all stereotypes that bi people are constantly having to deal with and it’s annoying AF. I almost want to 1 star the book for it? But I’ll keep it at 2 since I didn’t hate the entire book itself. Damn, though. Do better, authors.

LISTEN i may have left 15% of this book but i j couldn’t finish it like it was cute but i didn’t care abt the characters like the slow burn was good but once they got together i realized i wasn’t connected to the characters at all and i just couldn’t finish it SORRY moving on and counting this for my reading goal cause i invested too much time
lighthearted
Adorable but with a little bit of heat!
A small town, second chance, slow burn romantic comedy with heat, humor and amazing characters!
This book was hilarious and absolutely adorable with perfect amount of charm and heat combined.

Overall Rating- 4/5 ⭐️
Spice- 🌶️🌶️
Plot- loved it, flowed well 5/5
Trigger warnings- very mild
Tropes- Marriage of convenience, forced proximity, second chance-ish, small town, single parent (uncle), childhood friends to lovers
Shay had a life changing event happen that led her back to her high school stomping grounds; her step grandmothers farm which she just inherited with stipulations. That’s where Noah her high school best friend comes into play. They lost touch for years but both ended up back in Friendship, RI. He is the caregiver for his niece while trying to run a farm and Shay happens to be a kindergarten teacher. They help each other out by getting married so Shay can take ownership of her farm and he needed a tutor for his niece Gennie. It’s a sweet, small town friends to lovers story that warms your heart. Extra points go to Gennie for being hilarious.
