Liked Skeleton Key more, but this one was really plot heavy and the writing quality has definately gone up from some of the earlier books.

Well, well, well. We have some plot progress, Horowitz. A video game. Interesting. (Speaking of that, I have to wonder how fast all this gets dated. At least people are still using flash drives, but honestly, Alex talks like they're some obscure piece of computer equipment. Well, let me tell you something, Rider, even I use a flash drive. ['Kay, fine. I can't say I'm totally technologically ignorant. And when compared to the general populace, I guess I am slightly above the average, but I don't compare myself to the general populace. I know people with seven computer languages under their belt, not to mention a few computers. {And fine, maybe it was more like two or three.}])

I really liked the scene with the live video game. That would be awesome. Although I didn't get the recording part. Yes, they were recording the people's emotions. Yeah, I get that. But they never explained how, and that loose end kind of bugged me. But only for a little bit, you know. It was pretty good otherwise.

And Air Force One? EPICNESS.

I can't even remember that girl's name. Why not? It was something Pleasure. Right, right, Sabina Pleasure. She was pretty great too. Except for the fact that, um, hey, what is with your last name? It seems to happen to everyone. Rider and Blunt are okay. Jones is just boring. But hey, why are these all common words? Starbright. Pleasure. Cray (okay, well, maybe not so common, but Cray is cray-cray). Grief. Sarov is difficult, but I must wonder what twisted leap of the imagination led Horowitz to name his villain an anagram of Savor. (Yeah, okay. I'll stop now. I'm really wanting to bash this book, aren't I? Well, since I'm nitpicking, suffice it to say this book was good. Pretty good, but not too good, since I'm trying to bash it instead of raving about it.)

Alex is back in book 4 and is now 14 years old. He is out on his own this time with no government support. How will he cope.

It's a great thriller and espionage series for a YA audience.

Overall a fun series.
