If anyone can explain the science behind quantum physics and time loops in the plot I’ll appreciate you forever thanks

A tech is caught up in an accident at a scientific lab that pulls him into a time loop that resets every 4 days. He finds himself with a companion and both of them try to reset the time loop. I’ve read a book of the author’s before and I was interested in the synopsis of this book. The book has some nice twists and turns along the way. I appreciate a good sci-fi book and would recommend this. The ending was good but I wanted a follow up, so maybe the author continues the story. The title of the book makes it sound like a romance novel, don’t let it fool you. There is a love story but not it’s a slow build and not a torrid romance book. Thanks to @netgalley and @harpercollins for the advance read. Also, I loved the book cover design.

First chapter didn't leave me with any curiosity about the characters - protagonist seems awfully chill about being stuck in a time loop after being blown up by a particle accelerator.
A Quantum Love Story by Mike Chen is science fiction meets Groundhog Day, which makes February an appropriate release date. The ending seems rather quick and less developed given the premise about time and space and as compared to the development of the story in 4 day increments with each time loop. Nevertheless, the emotion in it rings true and leaves a lasting image of love and love remembered. That makes the book work for me.

DNF 43%. It’s dreadfully dull. The MCs are so one dimensional: he’s a foodie and she likes tennis… and we hear about it every chapter. There is absolutely no romantic tension. I think the author was in love with the premise and conceit he created and threw in a couple “quirky” characters and then went ham on speculative science. I’m so bored, I can’t be bothered to read anymore.
An enjoyable nerdy science time loop and time travel book. Small sprinkle of romance but I was a bit sad that it dropped off so abruptly. I had a lot of questions during the last third or so of the book that didn’t get answered, but I was able to move past that and just enjoy the story.

A lighthearted palate cleanser of a book. This was a sweet cis/het romance with a good SciFi background. The main characters have to break out of a time loop and hopefully not lose what they've built along the way.
This was another fun exploration of time travel from Mike Chen, a time loop in this case. I wish we knew what happens next! It doesn’t seem to be set up for a sequel, especially since the author usually writes standalone novels.
I do have one lingering question about the building, but simply asking it would probably be a spoiler.
CWs: grief (throughout the book), solitude, death of a pet (brief)

The plot is interesting without feeling too derivative of other time-loop stories (Groundhog Day, etc.). I feel the main “variants” of the POV characters fade away in an unsatisfying way—we spend so much time invested in them, only to end up with their counterparts from a different timeline.
