I'm going to put a disclaimer in. This review has nothing to do with this story. But I just wanted to let you know that when I searched for a hockey romance on Amazon, this was one of the results this is This story is not a hockey romance. This book is actually a ski racing romance This is a second Chance Romance you do get to see the beginning of their they were younger, but it isn't flipping chapters between present and past, they are memories within present time. Which I really enjoy. This author is New me. I found her through TikTok. This book is also available through Kindle Unlimited (KU) Subscription

“There are no lengths I wouldn’t go to in order to make you happy, Jackson.” He wraps me in his arms and brings his lips to mine, whispering, “This is just the beginning.”
This was definitely frustrating at times, and there are things I wasn't a big fan of, but overall, it was cute!
That being said, Petra's book is the one i'm looking the most forward to!

I really enjoyed this story! I loved learning why everything originally happened between Nate and Jackson after her accident and seeing how much stronger it made them. Nate fighting to get back to where he always wanted to be was so sweet! I can’t wait for book two!
3.7⭐️
I liked the story, buuuut I also did not like Jackson pretty much the whole time. It was good though because I honestly wasn’t sure how we were going to forgive Nate but we learn as we go and then we do. And then we like him the most.

I saw a tiktok for a One Last Shot (Frozen Hearts, #3) and wanted to give it a try but I realized that even though it could be read as a standalone it was part of this series. So I decided to start from the beginning and I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed this book.
After reading the blurb and realizing this was a second chance romance I was worried that Jackson was going to be a weak female character (which I hate) but I couldn't be more wrong. She is a strong, smart woman with amazing, supportive friends.
I expected this book to be very predictable but I was pleasantly surprised that there were a few surprises in there!
