I deeply appreciate Angela’s work in opening my eyes to the complexities of adoption, and this book is no exception to that. I appreciate the blending of memoir with broader conversations about adoption, foster care, blended families, and all the ways that love looks through complex relationships. This is another book, like Ashley Rhodes-Courters, where I super appreciate the birds-eye view of the adoptive parents and their fearless and open love through all they had to have been feeling.
