i don’t relate to the desire to find blood relations (as a transracial adoptee as well, but growing up with friends with  abusive bio parents disabused me from a young age of the idea that bio family necessarily offers any sort of belonging) but her story is undoubtedly remarkable and i enjoyed her inclusion of conversations with adopted children, as well as her outlining of the sondersphere (a model for raising adoptive children that allows many parties to orbit the child and provide the child with what they need).

A stunning book all prospective adoptive parents should consider a required read.
