Wow, what a ride. So much happened and things went in unexpected directions but I loved listening to it. The end broke my heart a bit.

This book was not at all what I was expecting after the ending of Legend! It took a lot of unexpected twists that made it such a great story. I've read a lot of dystopian books and usually they all follow a similar structure, I was expecting the same. It was very different and made me really wonder how this series will end. We learn a lot more about June and Day and their loyalties as well as what they actually want from the Republic. I liked that we see more of the Patriots and the Colonies. This book was about making a pivotal change but it was not the way I expected. The ending was really emotional and I'm not sure how book 3 will go!
This is exactly what every good distopian books need! I enjoyed every page of this book! Marie Lu is such a good writer and I can't believe myself for putting this book on my TBR shelf for the longest time! Awesome characters! And the action set on this one is so exciting every time I have to stop and do little chores, I can't wait to finish so that I can go back. I really love this one.
4.5 stelline.
Marie Lu colpisce ancora! Questi libri creano dipendenza, davvero.
Se cercate una lettura che sappia catturarvi, leggete la trilogia di Legend.

Even better than the first book!
In the words of my English teacher, “Good works of literature change how you see the world”. This is exactly what Prodigy has done for me. It may seem rather funny but last night I was watching a little bit of the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. Normally I would see this and not think much but instead I immediately thought back to this book. Why you may ask? Because all I saw was a bunch of rich people doing weird crap for entertainment, and maybe that fight isn’t the best example. But I could only think of poor sectors of people in the book. How much necessities all of that money could buy, and I find myself almost repulsed by all of the stuff I have. I view wealth differently now.
I loved this book, and I stayed up to 3:00 a.m finding the last 100ish pages.

Same as book 1, I’m rating this book 3.75. It’s a bit less formulaic than most dystopias which I’m very glad for ( since they don’t overthrow the government they just root out the evil parts of it which is pretty much the same thing ). The romance between June and Day was very chaotic and confusing and I didn’t like the rough patch they went through. Arguing bc of their different social classes made close to no sense bc June can’t change the family she was born into it made no sense. I thought I would DNF but then stuff happened I got interested in the plot again and here I am about to start book three. The world is a strange place, isn’t it ? Anyways I still don’t like dystopias very much but I like this book series. It’s okay.
Absolutely loved this book and I'm super excited to read Champion.
