This book...I don't have words for how much I loved this book and how much it resonates with me. I don't think you have to understand the Catholic faith to enjoy this book, but I think my background with the faith (which is a complicated one) made it all the more for me. I absolutely loved Priest when I read it (and I still think about it), but this one feels completely different to me.

I wish I had more to say than "I loved this book", but I really just don't know how to put it into words. The relationship Zenny and Sean have is so great and I love that even though they are in completely different places in their faith, neither of them let's it directly impact their relationship. I loved the conversations around God and religion, and I love that you get two completely different perspectives on it. And of course, you can't read a Sierra Simone book and not mention the spice, because boy is their some spice!

This is a book I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who enjoys the following. And I would encourage anyone even quasi interested in this book to give it a chance.

✔️ Age Gap (15 Years)
✔️ Best Friend's Sister
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Reformed Playboy
✔️ Teach Me
✔️ First Person Single POV
❕️ Check Trigger Warning

I was NOT prepared for how emotional this book was going to make me. 😭

Remember Father Bell from 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵? Well, he has several brothers, and this book takes place from his eldest brother Sean’s perspective. Sean hasn’t seen his best friend’s sister (Zenny) in years, and now that he’s seen her, he can’t get her out of his mind. The only problem? She’s on her way to becoming a nun…

This book was 🔥; maybe more than 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵? Zenny is completely inexperienced, and very interested in learning everything she can before taking her vows.

𝘐’𝘮 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯.

Sean is such a caring, cinnamon rolly, hot-ass man, more than willing to teach Zenny everything he knows.

Other than the 🌶️, this book is so emotional. Sean is the eldest child of his family, as am I, and I so related to his intense feelings of responsibility toward his family. The entire Bell family goes through so much in this book. I was bawling my eyes out toward the end…

These books are also very interesting in how they blend k!nky s3x with faith. This family has gone through the ringer when it comes to the church, and although I’m an agnostic, I’ve still enjoyed exploring this family’s up and down journey with their faith.

What this book is giving:
✅ Best Friend’s Sister
✅ Age Gap (He’s 36, She’s 21)
✅ She’s becoming a nun
✅ “Little Nun”
✅ “Zenny-bug”
✅ Dirty Talk
✅ Black female love interest
✅ Romance reading MMC (who buddy reads with his mom! ❤️)
✅ MMC POV (almost completely)

Look out for:
⚠️ Parental terminal illness

LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the first one. This one has an actual plot, the characters and their development actually make some sense. A little too trope heavy, but there are worst problems to have.

Sierra Simone did it again. Wow. I am so impressed at this book. Everyone talks about how spicy this series is but doesn’t really mention the deeply emotional and serious themes throughout the books. I was in tears at some points. I really enjoy when an enjoy can bring together so many emotions in one story and this did that for me.

•plot•
He’s a sinner and she’s about to swear herself to god and join the nunnery. Sean runs into his best friend’s little sister, Zenobia, and she’s all grown up. She’s about to become a nun but asks him for a favor before she does. She wants him to show her all the things she’ll be missing so she can understand what she’d be giving up. And I mean ALL THE THINGS 😳😏

•characters•
The age-gap, protective, caring millionaire meets virginal, naïve nursing student. She doesn’t have a clue and sometimes she wise beyond her years but simultaneously very, very immature. He’s got tons of emotional baggage and it comes out as controlling. But honestly in like a really awesome way 😂

•writing•
This book is spicy as all hell. You will literally get heat exhaustion 🥵 but then Sierra hits you all this introspective inner dialogue and deep thoughts. It’s all told from Sean’s POV which I liked. Although at some points I was dying to know Zenny’s thoughts.

Tropes: age gap, vir gin, playboy/player, childhood crush, forbidden, taboo
