This is a continuation of Asher and Grace's duet story. Will Grace finally get her happily ever after?

Asher is a different man than he was in the last book. The prison was brutal on him. He barely survived. Asher gets a surprise and will see how he adjusts to home again.

This story is a little more angsty, not your typical contemporary romance. Asher is a broken man struggling to cope with his new reality. Grace is patient and kind, and I love how selfless attitude. The author throws in a little suspense, and I wonder where it will bring these characters.

The books get steamy as they finally reconnect, but this has been back to square one. The book is a roller coaster as they both fight their demons and brokenness. Asher is a mess, but his hard life has to get worse before it gets better. Grace is emotionally a warrior, and even though we get teary-eyed moments, this isn't the heartfelt romance you may be expecting. This romance is hard work, broken people, and difficult choices.

The story ends better than it started, but getting there is a ride. Asher and Grace's story about work, love, and fighting your demons is touching. Yes, this book gave me some feelings. I did expect more, but at least I got anger, tears, and laughs. Overall, I enjoyed this read.

Book Review #4
Book name:
Fighting for Us

Series?
Bailey Brothers

Hero:
Grumpy, brooding, and has a lot of pent up anger. Broken too. He’s a fighter as well.

Heroine:
As strong as ever, fought for her love, and is quite talented. Has a few of her owns scars as well.

After the end of the first book, I was so scared to read the second book. I knew Grace and Asher MUST end up together and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When this book opened up, the first few chapters were emotional for me. I can’t imagine losing the man I love under circumstances I have no control over, and constantly doubt his feelings upon return.

This book was deep in a way it talked about trauma. When I picked up the first book I thought I was in for a cute-romantic small town best friends to lovers story, but this was packed with emotions I didn’t expect.

I highly recommend and what is with Claire Kingsley who keep on ending at cliffhangers? Come on, that epilogue??? I need all Bailey brothers story now, I’m so excited for Evan’s story (but unlike before, I’m preparing my emotions now, I’ve learned my lesson Ms. Kingsley).

goodreads won’t stop changing the cover on me and I’m a little annoyed because this book is so deep and good and the cover doesn’t do it justice.
look maybe I’m just sick (literally I have a cold) but this was really beautiful and I got really excited when I realized that both of them were going to therapy !! More romance books need that man
