I'm not going to write too much about this book as most of what I would say has already been said. Suffice it to say that I needed time to get to read this book as I knew it was going to cause tons of tears and I wanted to be ready. The authors definitely accomplished that. Truly incredible read from start to finish and Kane and Avery's story is heart wrenching, funny, tender, sweet and one helluva emotional roller coaster ride. Well done for writing this eternal love story.
Really, really liked it.
It was a nice story.
It was a nice story.
Avery - the cocky, confident, handsome politician meets the sweet, sexy reserved restauranteur Kane and he immediately knows that this man will forever change his life. He's literally speechless when Kane speaks to him. He recognizes his soul mate in an instant and knows Kane is his Always.
This is one of the hardest reviews I've ever tried to write. I'll start with my love of Kindle and her books. She is an amazing writer and woman. She writes compelling stories that get deep into your heart and stay there forever.
This book was extremely different from anything she's ever written, but you could still hear her "voice" in it.
I felt the intensity of the love between these two men. We get to see something you rarely see in books; a lifetime with these men. It's not a just a snip-it of time; it's decades of love, laughter, family, bigotry, harassment, hate, joy and forgiveness.
Read this effing book. It's about love and fate and Always. Period.
"You're my always. I love you so much. I'd do anything to see you this happy" Avery whispered.
"I'm glad I found you." Kane said quietly.
"I think it was more like me finding you, handsome"
"I can't imagine my life with out you" Kane proclaimed sweetly.
"Good. I don't want you to."
God, he loved this man, always had. Avery's world had been tilted on its axis the day he laid eyes on Kane. His soul had found it's other half, he'd been told 'when kindred souls meet, they were destined to be together, always.' And there was no doubt he'd met his kindred soul in Kane.

I finally got to the point to read Gabrielle G. debut novel. I read Darling already, and Julie plays a part in this book and she didn’t really leave me with a good impression on her
Most of us can't help but get a little misty over the idea of soulmates. Whether we believe in it or not, it's nice to think about. Always gives us a taste of that - kind of. The story opens forty years into the relationship between Kane and Avery and then moves back to the beginning. From there, we jump through various points in time, something akin to a highlight reel. The problem with that is we really only get the good stuff without much time to get to know these guys or become invested in them. Then we have the suspension of disbelief required for this one. Not that the events in this story couldn't happen, not even that they shouldn't happen, they just couldn't have happened the way they did in those eras, especially with Avery being part of a political family. Acceptance has come a long way, and we still have further to go, but 1975 was a whole different story.
I've read some of Kindle Alexander's more recent books and loved them. Always does have the prose and parts of it certainly tug at the heartstrings. It also had a few too many things I would have to overcome to get lost in the story. In the end, this one left me somewhere in the middle, it was okay, but I really wanted and expected more.

Heartwarming. Beautiful. Inspirational. Poignant.
Keep Kleenex handy. You have been warned.

That was so much more than I expected. A true, all-encompassing story of a relationship. So, so, so, so good. Why do Kindle Alexander books always make me cry? In the best way!
Are these tears in my eyes? What heartbreakingly sweet story.
I have been compensated with a FREE copy of Always! Kindle Alexander is AMAZING! I have only read a few M/M romances but this is by far the best. I would even go so far as to say one of the best romances I have read with different pairings too. This book made me so emotional I cried during the beginning, middle, and end. But in between the crying I laughed and smiled and I can only hope that one day I have a relationship like Kane and Avery. I enjoyed all the characters in the book but Kane was by far my favorite. Reading about Kane's struggle to accept what he and Avery have was amazing and made it worth so much more when he finally accepted it. Kane and Avery are a match that just fit. Their ride is full of ups and downs but you get to read about how they work through them together.
The way that Kindle Alexander wrote this book you can't help but get attached to the characters, and feel everything they do right along with them. There was so much detail that I could visualize everything so it almost felt like I was watching a movie in my head instead of reading about. This is by far the most heart touching book I have read in a long time. Everyone should read this book.
