ALWAYS by Kindle Alexander is one of the most incredible love stories that I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

It's one of those books that holds you captivated and hanging on every written word, as the author takes you on the most amazing journey filled with so many emotions, that once you've turned the last page, you just need some time to recover, and adjust to the real world.

It tells the story of Avery Adams, and Kane Dalton. Two men who meet and make you believe that soul mates really do exist. The book spans the forty years that Kane and Avery spent loving each other, and the trials and tribulations they faced as a gay couple, in a society where people only see black and white.

ALWAYS was sensational. There's no two ways about it. I don't think I've ever said this about a book before - because I can only picture it if it actually happens - but it would make the most incredible movie. As I was reading, I just kept seeing it play out in my mind as if I was watching it on the big screen, and it was so intense.

Quite a few authors are trying there hand at m/m books these days, and while I love that this is the case, a lot of them are focusing more on the sex aspect. Don't get me wrong, gay sex in novels is very sexy if it's done right, but without an actual story, what is the point? This is where Kindle Alexander stands out from the crowd.

Her books have substance. Yes, they have extremely sexy scenes, but they are romance novels first and foremost. They will make you fall head over heals in love with the characters, and in some cases, (I promise you this has happened) make readers wish they were a gay man.

Whether you have read and enjoyed m/m books in the past, or whether you had never planned to pick up a book in this genre before, if you are open minded, then please give Kindle a chance to show you that true love is versatile. It's infinite. Equal.

Kane and Avery had a love that stood the test of time, and it will continue to do so even after you turn the last page. Five stars are simply not enough.

6 Stars

This book broke my heart. It's a stunning tale of true love across a lifetime, brilliantly drawn out against American politics and with two lead characters that it pains me to let go of.

I didn't want Avery and Kane's story to ever end but when it did it was so beautifully done that I couldn't stop the tears from coming.

This book was incredibly sweet. A couple that were definitely soulmates. It was a good testament to love and a healthy relationship. I loved Kane and Avery, how they complimented each other and added value to the other’s journey. I hope Society is here and couples like Kane and Avery can live in love and happiness.

I just could have done with less sex scenes. I would have also liked more shading to the family situation with Kane. Still, this book was a gem and was just what I needed to keep smiling as I read it.

What an absolutely amazing story. This is truly a story of love. Soul mates. Always.

If you're looking for an emotional book that will make you have the ugly crying face, this is the book for you. Jeez I can't stop the tears. My only complaint is that Kane was such an Alpha male in the beginning but he slowly turned into a woman

ARC received for an honest review

This is a m/m romance.

This book should come with a warning ~ do not read without tissues within reach!

It has been days since I finished reading Always, and it is still in my thoughts. Can we say "book hangover".

Avery Adams and Kane Dalton are soul mates, pure and simple. Though I am not a fan of insta-love, and this is definitely an insta-love relationship, this didn't bother me at all. Perhaps as the story spanned such a long period of time? Maybe it is just that I love these characters so darn much?

Always follows their relationship over 40 years, starting in the 70s when being openly gay is strictly taboo. To make things more difficult, Kane is devout Christian and believes his feelings are wrong, and Avery is a public figure, and America is not ready for a gay Senator.

At times I wanted to reach in to my kindle and shake Kane though. He was forever on about how their relationship was wrong and it felt a lot of the time that we were waiting for something bad to happen, even though their relationship was travelling along beautifully. I could understand why he felt that way, but there had been no reason for him to be that way after all their years together.

It was wonderful being swept up in the story, drawn into the lives of Avery and Kane, so much that I felt that I was in the book with them.

Always also gives us a bit of an insight into what it would have been like to be in a homosexual relationship back in the 70's. I have no problems if you are straight, gay, purple with pink spots. Your heart wants what your heart wants.

Always is an exceptional beautiful story about finding ALWAYS love. Ms Alexander has a knack with words, and writes wonderfully heartwarming stories that will stay with you long after you finish reading.

Word of warning though on those tissues. Have them ready. I am not ashamed to admit that for the last 15% of the book I was crying. Really crying. Puffy eyes, howling, pain in the chest, snotty nosed ugly crying.

Thank you, Ms Alexander, for bringing Avery and Kane into my life.

I loved this book and its feels. I admit I teared up and cried a little.

Always by Kindle Alexander was a 4.5 star read for me. I was completely drawn into this love story between Avery and Kane.

This book is awe inspiring. I was balling my eyes out in the end but so thankful it has a happy ending.
