Honestly, this was more of a 2 star read, 2.5 stars at most, but I appreciated the idea behind the story and the ambition of it, even if the execution of it did not work out for me, and the ending took a turn that I wasn't super into either. Hence, the 3 star. I got the recently published continuation of this, so I'll get to that too. This author's writing style isn't for me though, I've learned. The writing is very flat, not very good (imo) and all brisk and moving along for the sake of plot without getting you all that familiarized with the characters and their personalities, it's all just their archetypes.
It's been a while since I've cried this hard. The last few chapters the tears just kept getting bigger and bigger. Definitely an ugly cry book, but absolutely loved it. I just wish it didn't have to end like that... :(
It was a sweet love story but I thought it was pretty boring and didn't hold my attention much. I kept putting it aside to read other books.
~I Was Doing Just Fine...Until Those Damn Flowers With A Note Appeared~
Always...the name says it all and its a love story everyone wants to experience. Avery and Kane both a force in themselves until they joined to form a storm that last into forever. I wanted it to end differently and after a few minutes I saw how it happened was how it should be.
Avery's life in politics was taking him far in life but one night at La Bella Luna restaurant changed his entire plans. He meet Kane and knew he found his soulmate. Kane was a hard working owner of a booming restaurant in Minnesota and the night when an important political figure decided to have dinner at the love of his heart...La Bella Luna. They both felt the pull and from that night on their lives and love bloomed into a journey they both had no idea they would be taking.
I'm not an easy crier and I was doing just fine until the calla lilies and Avery's note came into play. I didn't do the ugly cry but was getting damn near pissed off that my blurry vision wouldn't allow me to continue my reading. This book will warm your heart but while I wished...hoped for a different ending the way it did was the proof that their love was in fact eternal.

GOOD GRIEF!!!
I don't want to give anything away, but this one just killed me. It will not be what you are expecting... ever. And not until the very end will you realize the absolutely DEVIOUS plot devices used to kill you bit by bit.
A truly well-written story with undeniably lovable characters. A wonderful family and a wonderfully rounded out relationship that rarely happens in novels. I can't say enough.

I loved this book. It was the first of Kindle Alexander's books that I read and it made me cry. I thought the relationship was loving and romantic. I truly see that Kane and Avery were meant to be together and there was a sense of peace and cherishing throughout the story.
Avery and Kane's story is so heart wrenching. I loved it very much. I am very glad I gave it a try
