This was confusing….

I don't think this was done well with it being so short. The story wasn’t flushed out enough and I honestly didn’t feel the romance either. There is also a lot of tell and no show.

I loved this book so much! Fate really brought Michell and Lavish together ! It started with him giving her financial security but he gave her family and love and she in turn gave him love that he needed. Loved their family dynamic as well! I got so emotional at the end! This love story was beautifully written!

Give me a marriage of convenience any day!

This book follows Mitchell and Lavish as they both learn life lessons from each other. This book deals with grief, self-love, humility, found family, trust and acceptance.

Mitchell and Lavish have a chance meeting at a night club in New Orleans. Lavish is there to celebrate her freedom from an abusive 5 year marriage while Mitchell is trying to figure out the dilemma of his father's dying request. As Lavish parties away, Mitchell feels somewhat protective of her since she is clearly drunk and in the club alone. He defends her when another guy starts touching her without her permission and ensures she is sage when it is clear that she has had too much to drink. Outside she spills her guts to him about her living situation and he sees it as a great opportunity to help. He gets a fake marriage to please his father and she gets the money she needs to start over but things are never that easy!

Kimberly did an amazing job bringing these two characters to life. It pulls you in and you feel the love and the grief of both characters. I smiled, I cried and my heart grew with these characters and their family. Lavish is an easy lovable character and from the beginning I wanted to fight for her. She deserves love and I am happy Mitchell is willing to give that to her

My heart!!

If I’m being honest, I was not planning on finishing this book because I hated the beginning… It was too much so fast and a little toxic. However, I’m SO glad I stuck with it. It had its moments but in the end they had such a beautiful love story.

BEAUTIFUL

This was the most beautiful, real and raw story. So many moments I just cried right along with Mitchell & Lavish. Enjoyed their love, their family. This was a beautifully written story.

easy 5 ⭐️

This book pulled at so many heart strings. I sobbed, I laughed, I swooned. The minute details AND the overall story were done to perfection. A KB must read!
