I’ve never been so on the fence about a book. Like it was good but it was also bad. Everything felt rushed but it also felt kind of right. Their chemistry was off the charts, I’ll give them that. I hated what he did when she shut it out, it annoyed me so so much and it left a bad taste in my mouth I won’t lie. I really liked the happy ending Lavish got though, she really needed that. One advise I’ll give them is they should start therapy immediately.

Black Love and Growth

This was one of the wildest love stories I’ve read so far. I’m a sucker for a good black love story, and the growth Lavish and Mitchell brought out in each other was remarkable to witness.

This author never fail to amaze me on how well her books touch and take you to a place you never knew it will . This book was so damn good it made me laugh, cry and got in my feels at time . I couldn’t put it down and now I can’t get it out of my head . This will be my favorite book for the month of March . I love Mitchell and Lavish story and I was glad they were their to heal and help each other . So much happen in this book I never saw coming but I’m glad she got away from her ex and found a man who uplift and live her unconditionally. She fit right in his family with was Ease. The ending shock me but I’m glad that she got to find out the truth and heal. Must read story 10 stars !!

I enjoyed reading this book. I did. There are a couple of things that I did not like, however, I still had a good time. I have read a couple of other books by this author and, I think I liked this one the most. Not just the story but the way it was written as well.
In one of the reviews I read before starting this book, somebody mentioned how Lavish had a lot of issues but therapy was never mentioned. Now that I finished the book, I can say that I agree. I know that at the end she got all the things that she dreamed of. But still, I feel like the things that she went through and the way she acted when she was triggered...she needed professional help.
Mitchell was different than I expected. He was not the playboy I imagined. I was surprised that he cared for Lavish and he showed that to her from the beginning. She was being difficult but I completely understand why. She had reasons to be that way. Although I wished she went to therapy, I am glad things worked out for her. For them. His family was amazing.
The epilogue was a bit disappointing though. I wanted to read Mitchell's pov as well.
But overall, this was not a waste of time. This was good.

2.5 stars arranged marriage gone bad then better

I liked that Mitchell’s parents raised their family with humility but it’s hilarious that Mitchell doesn’t have any. I love that Mitchell spoke confidence into Lavish from the start. Was a prenupt signed?

Lavish was getting on my nerves. Like what was the point of ignoring Mitchell?! You already said he’s been the best person to you and you still treating him bad. Sis needs therapy and to not put her hands on her husband
