I really liked this one. Bosch’s daughter is older (she’s a cop now) and there’s some nice solutions to the problems. A bit of the black dahlia and the minor crime of stealing Ballard’s badge turns into a MAGA thing.

I liked how Connelly included a real unsolved murder case from 1947, the infamous Black Dahlia, as one of the investigations for the Open-Unsolved unit, headed by Detective Renée Ballard.
