Sooooo guuut! Ich kann doch jetzt nicht noch Monate auf den dritten Teil warten! Valek und Yelena sind einfach beschte!
I long for the days when I had the time to write long gushing reviews, because this book deserves one. So many fun twists and plenty of action. I couldn’t put it down. Love.

So many twists and turns. So many friends and family fought together in more and more dire situations.
The plot was at its thickest when the entirety of our amazingly resourceful sneak crew ended up needing rescued by a bunch of teenagers including newly discovered siblings, street rats, some kid from the Glass series that I haven't read yet, adopted child of the sister-in-law's younger sister's husband. That sums up the best reason why I love the Study series. While our main characters, Yelena and Valek, were not shy from heading straight into danger with nothing but their favourite knives and lock picks, they were never alone. Even Valek realised that he had acquired a family. And holy snow cats, that family kept growing and growing, extending through marriage, friendship, work colleagues, magic school alumni, long lost family. The world of Ixia and Sitia came to life through those side characters and the interwoven tapestry of love and hate.
Study #5 is the most romantic book in the series so far with Valek and Yelena's relationship. So many tender moments I swooned. And finally their love for each other would influence the outcome of things. It only took 8 years.

I struggled less with this book than I did with the last one. I was still fairly resistant to the changes in the flow of the story as well as the additional perspectives that were introduced. It wasn’t until the last third-ish of the book that I was finally taken with the urge to not stop reading, though the feeling was more plot driven than I feel the compulsion to the Glass series was (thankfully). All in all, it was enjoyable, and my love of Janco and Kiki has continued to grow.
OK WELL I'M DEAD FROM DYING - IDK HOW TO EXPRESS HOW MUCH TWISTS, TURNS AND PLOT TWISTS I HAD TO GO THROUGH FOR MY BRAIN TO ACCEPT EVERYTHING. WOah ok well that was actually hella amazing, as always. Weird to think I only started Poison Study just over a year ago knowing I've read all five so far o_O
You know, I have loved the study books and basically everything Snyder has written, but this one was too long-winded for my tastes. There was so much planning and plotting and figuring and analyzing, I felt like I slugged through the first two thirds of the book. Once the action started happening towards the end and questions started getting answered, it became a solid Study book. I just wish the lead-up had been more enjoyable.
