I LOVED this book, and I only expected to like it! All of the characters were relatable in their own way, and it was a great reminder that adult friendships can look very different than childhood friendships (and about the maintenance they require). Also almost made me cry at multiple points (including on an airplane haha)

I really wanted to like this one since I loved the 2 Guncle books... but I just couldn't get into this one. Life is too short for books I don't want to pick up and read.

UUUUGGHHHH THIS BOOK

I wanted to like this book so badly but I just could not. I have never DNF’ed a book before from not liking it but here I am now. Steven rowley somehow managed to write five characters that collectively all irritate me. It’s also just the women’s inner thoughts are just so incorrect and so obviously written by a man who has no idea what a woman’s thoughts look like. Another thing I didn’t like… there is an insane attempt to make it known that these people are gen-x. Like WE GET IT. I am not reading a book to escape the world and have it full of references I don’t even get. This book had so much potential but just dragged on and was not it.
