I feel like Rowley tried to cover so much that everything was very superficial. Just as I was starting to get into my feels or into a funeral, the entire tone would shift. I love comedy in a drama, but there was so much without the actual depth of the drama, that all the real emotion felt fake.

Tearing up here at the ending, holy moley. Somewhere around a 4.5 for me. The story of 5 friends and the lifelong pact they made to each other, to leave nothing unsaid. I loved the alternating narrative between the events of the pact, and present day. I wanted Naomi and Craig's story to be a bit more fleshed out, but overall, loved loved loved the story and the narration by the author.

It was okay and it was a quick read. The ending was surprisingly better than I thought. Wasn’t the best though.
