This was my second time reading this quick, enjoyable first post-Ultimate volume. Fun stuff. Especially after seeing Into the Spider-Verse a couple times, I love Miles Morales so much.

This series is not holding back in declaring that the new Spider-man is brown. There were dialogues about race, representation, and privilege which is good especially when kids would read this, and necessary for this particular hero. There's a promise here of a bigger story but the hero/student drama is always welcome like with the especially similar Kamala Khan. The art here is beautiful mostly those highlights/shades on the characters. Expressive characters and very diverse even the background people.
