I really hate that Michael Crichton is gone. I'm not sure anyone wrote as well for pure entertainment. His books always interested me because of his seemingly exhaustive research of whatever the topic might be. This is probably the equal of Jurassic Park but the original idea causes me to give the sequel one star less. If you enjoy good storytelling and aren't locked into any particular genre I recommend any of Crichton's books/

This is a fantastic sequel / continuation from the first book.

It doesn't hit the high highs of the first book, and is more of an adventure book than a thriller/horror, but I had a ROARING good time with it. 

Also, I love the movie, and this is COMPLETELY different, and for the better. 

Very fun & worth the time.
