✨3/5✨

One whole book of Sarah Harding girlbossing through life fr. The philosophy talk could be a little much at times but this definitely had interesting elements that made me enjoy it nonetheless.

The Lost World is a really enjoyable follow-up to Jurassic Park.  Great characters, scary dinosaurs, life and death scenarios, and lots of science.

I wish this was as good as the first book, I really, really, do. I tried to love it I really did. But i kept getting lost (no pun intended unfortunately) and having to re-read over and over. I do see what Crichton was trying to achieve, but with the success of the first book and movie, this feels like a rushed attempt from Crichton to pop out a sequel.

It’s messy, there’s too much going on, I get the idea. Second Island and all. But it could’ve been written way better, it just made me confused and gave me a headache trying to piece everything together. I almost didn’t finish it, but I did. Like i mentioned earlier, it feels really rushed compared to Jurassic Park; I doubt I’ll ever pick it up again.

It was a little harder to get into the second book compared to the first one. The storylines felt a little disconnected. The tension arc was not as excellently crafted than Crichton's other books. The strory is fast paced and the short chapters underline that.
I enjoyed the information about dinosaurs and raising animals.

“All your life people will tell you things. And most of the time, probably ninety-five percent of the time, what they'll tell you will be wrong.”
