This wasn’t my favorite Liane Moriarty. As others have said, the book leads you on. You keep thinking something big is going to happen and it never really does. It’s actually disappointing how little drama there is considering the stalker situation.
I was halfway through the book and surprised there was still so much more to go (440 pages). A much too long story develop, but overall, a pleasant read. I’ll give another book a try.
Oh this book was good that I finished it the day I started, while I may have gotten lost in the transitions some times I really did love the way the book was able to use the inner thoughts of every character to perfectly spin a web of mirrored interactions. It was very very good
This took me a little longer than normal to get thru. I think I had this vision of Moriarty and she just doesn’t always write as good as she sometimes does. This one wasn’t bad, just wasn’t my favorite. 2 intertwining story lines and it ended without me being confused.
This book was on par with Liane Moriarty's other works. This was a quick and engaging read that could be done in one committed reading. The ending was a little sudden and wrapped up too neatly for my liking and a few aspects of the character relationships were a bit unrealistically optimistic but the plot was engaging and kept me interested. If you like Moriarty's work, then you will probably enjoy this book as well.
An easy read, no complaints. The plot & characters were very light, felt like I was reading a predictable Lifetime movie.
Unfortunately this probably would’ve been a 2/5 had it not been for Saskia’s narrative. I really did love the story, however I felt as though throughout there was going to be a twist and it never happened, also I felt as though it was geared towards one so well?
Didn’t fully warm to Ellen either, and felt the novel went on a bit.
Definitely would read the author’s work again though.

By far my favourite Liane Moriarty book to date. It made me question every relationship I've ever had. Not just for how I acted within and without those relationships - but also examining who I have told what personal anecdotes to. I checked the publication date -- 2011, several years after I started telling a real-life hypnotherapy incident of my own, which uncannily turns up in this novel word-for-word. I know authors are bowerbirds of real-life snippets. But HOW did she know????
