Much prefered these MC's to the couple from book 1. There just seemed to be more about them and the story was more engaging with the curse and the involvement of the other family members also.

I also LOVED that they both hoard books, Hemingway's hoard room sounds amazing to me.

While I do like the human and dragon mate combo, the resolution to the curse felt a little too convenient for me to rate higher!

I loved Hemingway and his hoard of books and treasures. He was fun and I liked how he convinced Dempsey to go on a trip with him after having just met. Dempsey was such a fun and interesting character as he navigated his "stalker" and came into the world where dragons exist. I loved everything about this entire book.

Omg this book was amazing! I absolutely loved Dempsey! I felt such a kinship with this nerdy book loving character who passively hoards like a dragon even though he isn’t one! The relationship between Hemingway and Dempsey is so fun to watch, especially in the bringing with they both think the other isn’t interested. The dialogue is so romantic and beautiful between them. They feel like completely different characters from lake and nico in book one! I also loved all the travel and getting to see the cities from their perspective. Another A plus! Cannot wait for the next book!

Good Story

Good addition to the series, interesting story and villain. Liked Hem and Demps a lot, they were very sweet. The ‘formula’ for the book felt slightly cookie cutter from the last though, I hope this gets switched up in the next book. Excited for the rest of the dragon bros mates!

This is the second in a series, and I would recommend reading the first book before this, as those characters do play a major part in this. This is Dempsey and Hemingway's story, and I really enjoyed it. Hemingway is hired as a bodyguard to Dempsey when he discovers his shop has been broken into and he no longer feels safe, and their connection is instant. I loved how Dempsey stood up for himself right from the start, Hemingway had the potential to be overbearing and Dempsey tempered that trait right from the off.

I loved how protective Hemingway was though, even without being sure that Dempsey was his mate. These two were absolutely perfect for each other, with their love of rare books and antiques. I also loved the connection between Lake from the first book, and Dempsey and their growing friendship. The plot moved along well too, and I got sense of real peril for poor Dempsey. There's a nice cast of secondary characters too, I liked them all. Dahlia, Shakir, and the other brothers too. Most of all though I adored Dempsey and Hemingway together, they were super sweet and hot and just everything.

I am loving this series and can't wait to read the next brother's story.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

After a very good start to the series, we find ourselves with this book, in which inconsistencies cannot be avoided under the pretext of being the first joint work by the authors. Unfortunately, there are several and they are quite obvious.
It is a rather long story and I found it a little boring and repetitive. Nevertheless, it is necessary to continue the series, which I intend to do at some point, because I have grown fond of the Drake brothers.
