Cette suite conclut parfaitement cette duologie et maintient tout à fait ce qui s'est fait dans le premier volet !

Read this recently after seeing it in a bookshop, I would have adored this as a little girl.

Magical and full of adventure,  I know that it would have made me feel powerful to be a girl and really what more could you want from a kids book? (and if it made me feel that way I'm sure it means even more for young hijabi's :)

The focus on family love and acceptance was really tender.

Maybe for kids around 7-9?

This new take on famous fairytales weaves in diverse cultures and content that you wont find in an all-white disney cartoon cast. The second book in a series, Rumaysa: Ever After continues the story of a girl on a magic adventure after accepting an invitation from the Queen (a take on Snowhite). Challenging the fairytale "rules" of things like damsel in distress, this book is all for empowering young women to take charge!

Short chapters with black and white illustrations intermixed help tell the enchanting story. The book is fairly long, at over 200 pages, so it is good for young readers who are ready for longer texts and less pictures. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children in the age 7-12 range. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!
