It's 3'5 actually. I liked the story and the way it changes the more you read. And I really liked the protagonist A LOT. I think Jude has everything i want and like in a female protagonist but other characters were a little bit predictable for me. It also has some interesting twists but i have to admit the whole issue of politics and war strategies inside the court bored me a bit and that's why I don't give it 4 stars.
The writing style and language are just too mid evil and disjointed for me.

I've seen this book talked about a lot so I automatically put a hold on Libby for it to see what it was all about. There were times where I found this story to be a little slow, yet I was still interested in the story. The FMC was just a little morally grey and the MMC didn't really start to play a big role until the end. While I didn't always like the FMC, I liked seeing how she put her fear aside and learned to be wolf and find her power in a world where she was deemed powerless. I was pleasantly surprised at the end and am excited to see where this story goes.

I absolutely loved it, could not fault it at all. Took me to another world, truly magical. Loved seeing a powerful female character. Can't wait to continue reading the series!

An overall enjoyable read, although a bit slow at the start. However last act of the book REALLY picks up in pace and that is really where the book came into it’s own for me, and has made me want to read the next instalments in the series.
I saw a previous review that described the premise of this book as “GoT for teenage girls” and I couldn’t agree more!
It’s a good, fast paced read so ideal for getting back into reading or if you’re looking for something that doesn’t require a huge time commitment if you like fantasy.
