My 24th and by far LEAST favorite Silva novel. The plot drug on, not much action, and characters I didn’t care about in the least. If you are a fan of the Gabriel Allon series, this is NOT on the same level. It is almost as if a ghost writer was the author.

It was Silva's Gabriel Allen books that got me hooked on him as an author, and while it was pleasant to see some early sketches of later characters, and to enjoy Allon's skillful character development, where the protagonists aren't all saint and the antagonists aren't all sinner, the stories of this and The Mark of the Assassin just weren't as complex and felt like any other run of the mill spy novel.

This one was a little disappointing. Perhaps Silva gave up on these characters to move on to the Allon books. I kind of liked Osborne and the first book was better. Really not too much more to say. I’ll give his next series a shot though. It’s lasted a long time and must b solid at the very least.

This was the second book of the series; it was a continuation of the first book, and really should be considered a two-book story.

I enjoyed the books, although it was a little strange in the way the full story was "solved", and I was a little disappointed in the loose ends. Hopefully, there will be another book to continue the story. I'll definitely keep my eye out for one.

Wow, great book. I'm glad I took Vince Flynn's recommendation and started reading Daniel Silva because his books are outstanding. This one was tense from start to end, and I thought it ended on an unexpected, yet great note. Maybe someday Silva will revisit the world of Michael Osbourne. On to Gabriel Allon next....
