I listened to John Gwynne give a talk on ‘Historical Fantasy’ at The Battle of Hastings Re-enactment. He gave an interesting insight into the genre and as a result I purchased Malice. I’m so glad I went and listened to that talk because what an AMAZING book! What an incredibly engaging world Mr Gwynne has created. Not once did I question any motives or continuity, you’re immediately drawn into this land he has created and find yourself pondering which domain you’d want to live in and under which ruler. It’s one of those “I’ll read one more chapter THEN I must go to bed” books, where you literally cannot stop.

Amazing characters, engaging storylines and enough page-turning suspense that you’ll have to call in sick to work because you stayed up too late reading this awesome book...
