As someone who is seen as a boomer by the majority of people around me for my lack of technology use. This book is a nice bit of proof for why I am avoidant of the more modern technological advances. I think insights are very useful and I think a lot of people should read it. My one problem is that it comes off slightly judgemental of those who do not want to follow in the authors footsteps.

This book came into my life at the right time. I loved the insights and structure this will help me bring to my online usage. Optimizing the use of technology is what this books about.

I loved how this book wasn’t anti-tech, but instead just pro-you and your time. It’s not that Facebook is bad- it’s that it’s really bad at what it DOES if you use it to relax. There a LOTS of other ways to relax and rejuvenate, but the slot-machine of social media keeps pulling us back. Really thought provoking and I’m already implementing a lot of principles!!

This book forced me to take a long look at myself and my phone use which I naively thought I had under control. It’s so simple and yet so subversive to realise that we need to be responsible and critical of the tool (and trap) we have in our pockets. Would’ve love more practical tips and tricks but otherwise this book made me think - and delete my social media accounts, turn my phone to greyscale and bully my husband into reading it
