One of the most insightful books I've ever read. It's true that no one has ever thought of things quite like Vonnegut did.

I just loved it.  Read it while slightly drunk and then again sober.  Loved it both times.  One of my favorite authors for sure.

This book felt like Vonnegut's best attempt at easing bitterness with all the hope he could muster for a world with multiple hard truths. I appreciate his wisdom and thoughts, but it came across as rambling and felt sad to me; like he wanted to believe in a better future so badly but just could not find truth in it. I appreciated the grey space it offered the most.

Vonnegut's last book. Vonnegut states his opinions in his usual style. It's not as magical as his novels, but still moving. His tone is simultaneously hopeless and hopeful as he grieves the state of mankind yet pleads with readers to "be kind."

Fuck yeah. Weirdly made me want to learn more about the Iraq War. Beautiful mix of nihilism and sincere appreciation and hope for humanity. I'm obsessed with Kurt Vonnegut.

“Electronic communities build nothing. You wind up with nothing. We are dancing animals. How beautiful it is to get up and go out and do something. We are here on earth to fart around. Don’t let anybody tell you any different.”

Somehow I don't think I've actually read any of Vonnegut's novels, so I suppose I probably ought to come back and read this again once I have.

Enjoyed it, regardless.
