I haven’t listened to MFM in a while but loved it when I was. A client of mine let me borrow this book after we discussed the podcast at her appointment. I enjoyed it for the most part and I could see their personalities shine through in the book but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Not true crime, more memoir. I've never listened to the podcast, and was hoping more for the true crime aspect.

Awful, literally the only part that didn't scream "pick me" was when Georgia was discussing therapy. Everything else was just annoying, not everyone needs to have a podcast and not everyone needs to write a memoir, especially when it's not really marketed as a memoir. There really wasn't a true flow or point but whatever go off I guess

I'm not sure what I was expecting with the book, because I just wanted to read it after hearing so much about it on the podcast. It was an extra dimension added to the podcast that I didn't know I need.
Is it the best book I've ever read? Absolutely not. But I did really enjoy it, the drawings and other artwork in between, and familiar voices talking to me on paper instead.

I’m a MFM mega-fan and while I enjoyed aspects of this,  it just wasn’t exactly what I wanted from it. The format didn’t work for me as well as the podcast does, and the stories all felt somewhat familiar, probably because Karen and Georgia have spoken about them extensively before.

However, I think Karen is just a fantastic writer and her essay about her mom had me choking up. I also loved Georgia’s Ray Bradbury story and it’s inspired me to read more from him!
