emotional funny inspiring medium-paced

This is the first audiobook I’ve ever listened to and I really enjoyed it. Listening to Karen and Georgia tell their stories felt just like listening to their podcast. The way they opened up about their struggles and vulnerabilities was impressive and it’s inspiring to see how much they worked on themselves to get to where they are today.

I LOVED this book! It made me laugh and cry numerous times. The self reflection and the story telling was amazing.

Thought this was very quirky, funny, and had a big heart. I’ve never listened to the podcast, but I want to after listening to this as an audiobook!

SSDGM!!!

My only complaint is that it’s too short! But I loved it all :)

If you love the podcast, read this book!

Please don't take away my true crime card, but I am not a fan of the MFM Podcast.

That being said, I was super curious about the book. Karen & Georgia really connect with true crime & I wanted to learn more about that! I can say that on all points, this book delivered.

First, I love that Karen & Georgia narrate the audiobook. Even better than that, they read several passages at live shows. This really adds something to it. If you're a fan of the podcast, I think this would be even more meaningful. There are pieces that had me on the verge of tears.

One thing I can really appreciate about these ladies is their continued vulnerability. This is evident throughout the audio & I respect that immensely.

Overall, this is a deeper dive into the podcast so many people love. While it's not my thing, I'm thrilled so many people connect to it & I hope it will continue to foster the stories of victims & their families & be a beacon of the true crime community.

If you love the podcast, this is a must read. A peek into Karen and Georgia - they scratch the surface of some of these stories on the podcast, this gives you the details.

I laughed a ton and cried a ton. Karen and Georgia are so wonderfully human. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book, even though I’ve listened to a ton of their podcast. I’d say it’s a little less how to “Stay sexy and don’t get murdered” and more reminders that we are all very human and we all experience so much. While they seem somewhat confident on the podcast, it was a nice reminder that they were both still struggling as adults before it came along. As an almost 30 year old who has very few close friends and hardly any idea what I want to do with my life, it was a heart-felt reminder that there is hope for new close friendships and change and finding what works for me in the future. Ugh it was good. I’d recommend this book even if you haven’t listened to the podcasts, you might not completely get everything, but the lessons still carry over well in a very real, and occasionally funny way.
