This book so exceeded my expectations. I've been listening to mfm for about two years, and I love the hosts and the community that's grown around the podcast. This book has so much heart and so many life lessons that go beyond stay out of the forest.

This book made me tear up a few times and made me smile a lot.

I LOVED this book, but I am 100% bias because my favorite murder is my all time favorite podcast. If you’re a fan of the podcast, you’ll love this book. Karen and Georgia talk about their lives prior to the podcast. My favorite part is the end: Fuckin’ Hooray!

I’m just incredibly inspired by Karen and Georgia as women and loves hearing their stories. There’s fan art and photos in the book too which I loved. SSDGM

3.5 stars. I really enjoyed the life lessons and pieces of advice they both had to share throughout the book. However, I found the flow of the book to be a bit disjointed, and I also had a hard time distinguishing Georgia and Karen’s chapters from one another, as their literary voices read very similarly. A solid, quick read.

Honestly didn't know if I would like this. LOVED IT. Very well written. So honest and raw.

On the surface an insubstantial, frivolous and funny book, it had me sobbing more than a few times and even gave me a couple of lightbulb realisations that would have cost a lot more with a therapist.

Didn't love the mix of recorded sessions and live show readings but these ladies are so inspiring and they remind me why I love true crime

I listened to the My Favorite Murderer podcast once, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t like how they were so jokey about murders and people’s lives being so messed up. It just didn’t sit well with me.

But when I saw this book, I decided to give it a chance. And I’m very glad I did. I found Karen and Georgia to be relatable, powerful and caring women. I realized I had judged them poorly. I blew through this book- audiobook- and even started listening (slowly) to their podcast.

I think their perspectives on life are refreshing. While continually praising the importance of therapy, and sharing vulnerabilities, these two ladies really become feminist icons. I am really glad I gave this book a try.

Obviously if you are a MFM podcast fan, you will love it. But I contend any woman who seems herself a feminist would enjoy it. It’s honesty, and bunt and funny. Just enjoyable.

If you're a fan of the My Favorite Murder podcast, this is an absolute must-read! I learned a lot about Karen and Georgia, especially when they talked about mental health, self-care, and addiction. Their personalities truly shine throughout the book (listen to it on audiobook, if you can), and I was laughing at many moments. Super quick and fun read.

I wanted more true crime and less memoir of the podcasters.
