This book lived up to all of the hype online! It was not only the perfect mix of divergent and hunger games dystopian fiction, but also had twists and turns that I was never expecting, ESPECIALLY at the end. That cliffhanger!!!!!! I can’t wait for book two to come out in November!!!

Holy shit, what a fun ride this book was. I totally get the hype around it. Having said that, this is not new or ground-breaking or unique. I would not go into it expecting that. But it IS fast-paced and action-packed. The romantic tension is spot on and I loove the characters. Just enough twist and turns. I adored the dragons! There were a couple hiccups in the writing (sometimes a character felt like they appeared out of nowhere), but this was such a great start to a series. I think the physical disability of the MC was handled well, however, since I do not have that particular issue, take it with a grain of salt. This is also a sex-positive book with no shame related to sex and women have agency when it comes to partaking, which is very refreshing.
