How sad that Maurice Sendak is no longer with us. I had a chance o see the Magic Flute once where he had done the scenery...amazing! His unique sense of whimsy and danger is amazingly illustrated in Max's adventure..
Why did I assume that this was a long book? (because of the movie, to which I have a huge attachement for who knows what reason)
I picked it up after it was briefly mentioned in Pet Sematary.

After reading Eggers' The Wild Things, had to check this out again. Had to go through the consortium but I got it. Soooo cute.
