Thoroughly enjoyable. This is not what I normally read because I have problems keeping up with who did what to who and why. For some reason there is a block in my brain that just doesn't retain that information.
This book was no exception--I had to keep going back and rereading previous parts to see what I had missed or forgotten. But it was definitely worth the time it took to read. The ending was completely unexpected. Filled with twists and turns, this book will make you want to read more by this author.

Fast paced page turner of a spy/thriller that's absolutely worth reading. Not sure if this is what the apparently-horrible-but-i-haven't-seen-it Depp/Jolie movie is based on, but just pretend it isn't if it is.
It didn't hold my attention after about 1/4 of the way. Sorry, no time!
I used to love old Cold War spy novels. This is apparently the new incarnation -- post 9/11, with Homeland Security in the spotlight. I have no idea how this author from Budapest knows so much about the way the US intelligence community works, but he's good! If you like spy novels, you'll like it!
I haven't read a spy novel in a very long time and this was a great one with which to reintroduce myself to the genre. Every bit as good as Lecarré.
Thought this spy thriller was the rare book that gets better at the end. In the middle it got a little bogged down with exposition. It follows the life of a CIA spy who was in the thick of things, then retired to headquarters and actually started a family life only to be reluctantly pulled back into his old role. Very good portrayal of how soul-sucking that life must be.

This was your typical spy action book. There were a few confusing things that weren't explained until the end that nagged at you the whole time you were reading. Also, the copy of the book I had reeked of cigarette smoke, which made me feel like I was in the story since there seemed to be a whole lot of references to smoking in the book. So entertaining enough for what it was, but not destined to be a classic.
A different spy novel. The spies are called “tourists”. The main character, Milo, has left the tourist life, has an administrative job and a family. But he is drawn back into the life, damages his family and is on the run. He’s not a Jack Reacher that saves the day — he’s a guy trying to get out of his old life, back into his new life with his family, and survive in the meantime. Looking forward to reading more about Milo from this new author to me.
About: Milo Weaver has been a tourist for many years, but he’s done. He has seen all there is to see and he’s just ready to settle down and live his life. Being a tourist, he was constantly putting himself in danger. Everything was going according to plan until a prisoner somehow manages to kill himself while being interrogated by Milo. Suddenly, Milo finds himself in an investigation and on a chase he could never imagine.
Plot: I really enjoyed the plot and story behind this story. It was intense. It was dramatic. I really loved the story from the very beginning. It kind of reminds me of Orphan X. That’s a really good series as well.
Characters: I find that I didn’t really connect well with the characters too much. I can’t really explain it. I mean I tried to understand the logic behind some of their behaivors and attitudes. I just couldn’t. the one I could almost relate to was Milo and he was robotic sometimes.
Narration: The book was narrated by Tom Weiner. He did a really good performance of the book. I was highly impressed. This is the only book in the series he narrates though. I’m not sure why. I would gladly check out other books narrated by him.
Suggestions: I don’t really have many suggestions. I guess my biggest one is to make the conversation flow less choppy between the characters. It’s not a major complaint. I just feel like sometimes they aren’t even having the same conversation.
Recommend: I strongly recommend this book.
