Beautifully written retelling of the story of Circe. Shows her growth from a childish…well…child…to a grown, loving woman and witch.

As always, Madeline Miller is a wonderful story teller. Circe is beautifully written and the attention to detail is amazing.

The story focuses on Greek History and Mythology and the way it is described and plotted out perfectly blends together to create a marvelous and captivating telling of the Legend of Circe.

It highlights how even immortal Gods and Titans are not immune to basic emotions like jealousy and love. But the core of this story in the latter part is simply a mother's love for her child.

Circe's growth as a witch, a god and a human is so well written and consistent to a timeline as well.

Miller managers to cover and touch on each myth that has been referred to in detail creating a story that is all encompassing in nature.

If you are looking for a good Greek mythology book, I would definitely recommend giving this one a read.
