dnf at a little less than halfway.
I enjoyed this so much more than the Song of Achilles, but I really couldn’t get through it. There was NO PLOT. Stuff just happened, and Circe just went with the flow. It was just so uneventful, and wasn’t working towards an overarching plot or anything. It’s just Circe doing STUFF but not even because of herself, she is just effected by the other people in her life and she just floats through their problems, and through all these myths and it’s just like wtf.
I really couldn’t deal with the lack of the plot and the extreme uneventfulness of the book, but I liked the beginning, thought it was promising. I might go back to this one, but right now I’m not up for painstaking reading about literally NOTHING HAPPENING. dear lord, I need to read a good book.
