didn’t think i would like it, but i actually kinda loved diego and his character development
Monica Murphy absolutely killed this story. From start to finish I was hooked. I devoured this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. Diego and Jocelyn are more than I could have imagined. The push and pull of their relationship, and the back and forth was heart wrenching but also beautiful. Fighting For You is so beautifully written and pulled out so many emotions in me.
Diego and Jocelyn’s journey is certainly not an easy one. From the start I knew that this read was going to be quite the emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey but I was here for it! All of these feels had me twisted up in the best possible way, the teenage angst, the drama, the emotional toil, the yearning, the desire, everything and so much more had my heart racing, and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. And I have to say, the character evolution of Diego was nothing short of remarkable. I was completely in awe of his growth and maturity that he gained throughout the story. And by the end, I was fully rooting for him. I have fallen completely in love with Diego! Monica Murphy isn't afraid to write about heroes who are a bit rough around the edges and yet find that perfectly imperfect person who fits their souls the way no one else can. Diego found his soulmate in Jocelyn and despite all the stops, starts and resistance, this has been one wonderful journey.
Fighting For You is an inspiring journey filled with love, heartbreak, redemption and growth. Monica Murphy is one of my favorites ever and this story is exactly why. I loved every minute of this book, and it’s completely stolen my heart.

Monica Murphy is a new to me author, and I am so glad I read this book, because now my OCD is going to make me go back and read EVERYTHING Monica Murphy! This is a part of a series but I read it as a standalone and wasn’t lost, in fact it just peaked my interest for more.
This is a story about Diego and Jocelyn and their bumpy ride of a relationship. Starting in high school and taking them into college. Their journey is definitely heartbreaking at parts and heartwarming at others. You are going to fall in love with these two and you are going to root for them as well.
This story will suck you in and keep you enthralled until the end. The characters are multifaceted and real. I really enjoyed this book, I need to read everyone else’s story! And I can not wait! Do not pass this one up!

I wanted to read Diego's story so bad, I love the bad boys in the stories, and he's was the one I wanted to read in The Callahans Series, his backstory with Jocelyn was hard, the way he acted with her, how they both tried to navigate through adolescence, finding their first love and their heartbreaking story was so good. This second chance romance where the bully needs to redeem himself, to lose everything to ever have a chance to getting it back had my heart. The dual POV certainly helped the story, I would love to hear it on audiobook someday.

I have to admit going into this book I had mixed feelings about Diego. Just from how he was portrayed in the previous books. It was really great to see who he was behind all the angst. I loved getting to know him and Jocelyn. Seeing behind the rumors and finding out all the truths. Their relationship faces hard obstacles but they show us that love does conquer in the end.
I was very excited coming into this book and for many reasons. I have read all the other books from the very beginning. Starting from Drew's and Fable's story. Monica wrote about this character in other books like Jake's and Ava's and he seemed like the worst character ever. I didn't like him at all and mostly because of rumors that were being said about him. I believed them and I didn't think anything of it. I took it as a fact and mostly because he didn't deny it. He was so horrible to Hannah and Jake much time even though Jake and he are best friends. I didn't know much about Jocylen besides that she was pregnant and got cheated on by Diego. Well, that's what I thought. The one thing I will say about this book is that it felt like it didn't have a climax. It's not exactly a complaint but I do like to feel like there is a twist in the story or a problem to be resolved before the end. But overall I liked this book. It was so great to see that other side of these characters and watch them mature and have a child together. One other thing I am very excited about the fact that Tony, Caleb, Jackson, and some other mystery guy are getting books. In the series, College years also buy Monica Murphy. I literally jumped up with excitement because I was saying the whole time how much I want Caleb and Jackson to get books. I am so gonna read them and I'm so extremely excited!

I know people love to hate them, but I'm such a sucker for surprise pregnancy romances and this was no exception! I was skeptical, because Diego isn't part of the Callahan family and I felt like things weren't set up all that well for this novel, plus he was a grade A jerk. But, he won me over and I really enjoyed this book! I would have liked it to be a bit slower paced and spend a little more time on specifics of their character development, but in my opinion, this is the best book of the Callahans series so far.
I was sucked into this story within the first few chapters and literally could not put it down! I loved Diego, this was an amazing redemption story for him and it was well-earned as he worked out his problems. I loved seeing him with his kid and all the cute, detailed moments of their relationship that felt like I was watching a movie. This book went into amazing detail and it is one of the best detailed books I've read in a while. The football games and the moments with friends were so easy to picture and get hooked as they all rallied around each other.
I liked Jocelyn and loved how strong she was with her ability to put her and the baby first but still admit her weaknesses. All of her hard parts in the book required such strength from her and I loved watching her grow and change from teenager to teenage mom. There were parts of her I didn't like but I can respect that people heal differently. Overall loved this book and I loved the scenes with Ava Callahan and Eli Bennett because they are my favorite couple from this series!!
