Golden Lily
Not as good as the vampire academy series, but it was still a good read. Glad to see that Adrian has finally found a girl that loves him back!

“I tried to be a better person for her– but it was to impress her, to get her to want me. But when I’m around you, I want to be better because… well, because it feels right. Because I want to. You make me want to become something greater than myself. I want to excel. You inspire me in every act, every word, every glance. I look at you, and you’re like… like light made into flesh. […] You have no clue how beautiful you are or how brightly you shine.” - Adrian
As a hardcore Adrian Ivashkov stan, I feel bad for only reading it now. And I swear It's been very hard for me not to open the book, It took me months of restraining myself then having to give up this week.I was quite unimpressed with Bloodlines but Golden Lily made up for it.
Golden Lily are one of those few books who made me feel like I don't need to rush anything that, I felt the need to devoured every single page of it.
I think one of the many reasons why I thoroughly enjoy this book was how perfectly written the characters are, they all got that attitude to love and hate. The exquisite turn of events that won't bored you to death.
It was a very genius tactic of Richelle Mead honestly and one of the many things I adore about this book was how Richelle build up the friendship first before venturing to romance. It was refreshing. Interesting and enchanting. I think some authors need to picked some great insight of Golden Lily to see that not all romance should be about eye humping at first interaction.(Sorry but I have a strong aversion of books in this kind of eye humping cases at first sight.)
Delightful, well crafted, a very bewitching sequel.

First of it was great to be reading and getting through a book again. secondly, I well and truly loved this book. I would give it more if a 4.8 simply because there were some things that happened that I personally didn't like, but even then they were parts that made the story even more interesting and engaging than it already was.
I liked this book but not as much as Vampire Academy. I think a lot of it has to do with my mixed feelings on Sydney as a narrator. I like that she's more of a logic-driven character that isn't all 'I'm not like other girls' but she's also a little plain and there's something about her that annoyed me a little. Overall though I still enjoyed the plot and Sonya is always a delight. I'm glad that I finally got around to reading this one after so many years.

El libro se me hizo muy corto. Necesito mucho más Adrian, mucho, mucho más ♥
